According to the Project Management Institute, 70% of global projects fail, with 55% of project managers citing budget overruns as a major reason. Ineffective business strategy implementation leads to companies worldwide wasting $1 million every 10 seconds, totaling approximately $2 trillion annually. Bangladesh also faces challenges of poor project management, budget overruns, and stakeholder disappointment. To foster sustainable growth, the government and private sectors in Bangladesh must develop efficient project management capabilities. The Directorate of Continuing Education (DCE) at BUET offers a short course on project and contract management, providing participants with comprehensive knowledge, modern tools, techniques, and strategies tailored to Bangladesh's context.
