An understanding of the design aspects, installation, maintenance and testing of the Standpipe and Hose systems and the associated components such as the Fire pump is extremely important for the proper functioning of these systems during a fire event. This course has been developed to address both the fundamental and advanced aspects of fire hydrant systems for efferent facilities. The main aim of this workshop is to provide a sound understanding and working knowledge of the requirement of standpipe systems, their components, the hydraulic calculation for fire demand, fire pump selection etc. for industries and commercial establishments.
