About DCE

Learning never ends and betterment of life depends on the adaptation of new discovery, knowledge and skill. The Directorate of Continuing Education (DCE) in Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has been established in view of long demand for continuous professional development (CPD) of the engineers in Bangladesh to adopt with the intense global development of Science, Technology and Engineering. This directorate was introduced in early 1995. The objective of the DCE is to assist the development, upgradation and renewal of knowledge, understanding and skill development.

Objetives of DCE

The objective of the Directorate of Continuing Education Centre at BUET is to assist in and to promote the development, upgradation, and renewal of knowledge and skills, in the field of science and technology of teachers, engineers, scientists, managers, planners, administrators, and others through; (i) the dissemination of new knowledge and techniques, and (ii) training in established knowledge andtechniques. It will require education and organizational efforts distinct from the degree programmes offered at BUET and may include off-campus instruction. Although the Directorate would be an Academic Centre, it would develop the most important interface between BUET and the various sectors of development.
